My group had hard of hearing and speech impairment.
Specific Learning disabilities and psychological disorders presentation :Throughout this presentation we listened to our peers inform us about different specific learning disabilities and psychological disorders. Both of these topics tie in together and reflect on one another . Having a specific learning disability is having a disorder in one or more of the basic psychological processes involved in understanding or using language, spoken or written, that manifests itself in the inability to listen, think, speak, read, write, spell, or do mathematical calculations, including perceptual disabilities, brain injury, minimal brain dysfunction, dyslexia, and other conditions.Learning disabilities are believed to be brought about by irregularities in how the mind capacities and cycles data, as indicated by scientists. Learning disabled kids are not "dumb" nor "slackers." indeed, they are normally shrewd comparable to or better than expected. It's simply that their cerebrums decipher data in an unexpected way. Psychological disorders also know as a mental illnesses , are abnormalities of the brain that outcome in steady standards of conduct that can genuinely influence your everyday capacity and life. psychological disorders have been identified and classified, including eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa; mood disorders, such as depression; personality disorders, such as antisocial personality disorder; psychotic disorders, such as schizophrenia; sexual disorders, such as sexual dysfunction; and more. I learned a lot from this presentation and It has opened my eyes because i have just learned about most of this information. I feel like everyone should know and learn about all the disabilities there are to be more aware of the people around them .
Traumatic Brain injury and autism:Another group of people in our class presented to us and they covered traumatic brain injuries and autism. I loved this presentation it stood out to me because I am right now dealing with a family member that has brain trauma from a stoke. He has to learn how to do everything all over again , walk ,talk ,read ,write... It hurts watching someone go through that even tougher when its a family member. So listening to this presentation expanded my knowledge on what exactly everything he is going through means. Traumatic brain injury is an unexpected physical issue that makes harm the cerebrum. It might happen when there is a blow, knock, or shock to the head. A TBI can likewise happen when an item enters the skull. They also spoke on the topic of autism which is a range of conditions that challenge social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and non verbal communication. there are different forms of autism and are influenced by their environment and or genetics. Every individual with autism has a particular arrangement of qualities and difficulties. The manners by which individuals with autism learn, think and issue tackle can go from profoundly talented to seriously challenged. Individuals with Autism might be alluded to specialists who represent considerable authority in giving social, mental, instructive, or expertise building intercessions. These projects are normally exceptionally organized and serious and may include guardians, kin, and other relatives. Projects may assist individuals with autism Learn life-skills necessary to live independently, Reduce challenging behaviors, Increase or build upon strengths, and Learn social, communication, and language skills.
